The American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council released its list of top 30 government IT programs and projects for 2012.

The finalists in ACT-IAC’s 11th annual Excellence.gov Awards Program, were selected by a panel of more than 50 judges, representing senior government IT and industry IT organizations.

The finalists will contend for top honors at an awards luncheon ceremony, March 13, 2012, in Washington, D.C., where Defense Department CIO Teri Takai is scheduled to provide keynote remarks.

The Excellence.gov program recognizes exceptional government programs and projects that use information technology (IT) in an innovative way to improve services to citizens, enhance government operations, and provide a more open and transparent government.
