The General Services Administration has released a mobile app that allows federal travelers to access per diem rates on lodging, meal and incidental expenses.

The Per Diem Mobile App was released this week on the iPhone and Blackberry platforms; an Android version is also planned.

According to GSA, users can search federal per diem rates – the daily expense allowance excluding taxes – by city/state and ZIP code in locations throughout the United States and its territories. The rates are established by GSA for destinations in the lower 48 contiguous United States, and by the U.S. Department of Defense for locations in Alaska, Hawaii and the U.S. territories. The U.S. Department of State sets rates for foreign travel locations.
