Today, LiensNC, LLC Executive Board President Steve Brown and NIC Inc. Director of Operations Kim Tanner accepted the Construction Standard of Excellence Award on behalf of the North Carolina Online Lien Agent System (LiensNC).

“I believe LiensNC is the only online lien agent system in the country,” said Brown. “Being the industry leader in this field, we have the responsibility to continue advancements in North Carolina while blazing a trail for our colleagues.”

The LiensNC system allows the owner of a property and potential lien claimants of the construction project to comply with North Carolina mechanics’ lien agent requirements. Since April 2013, the LiensNC system has decreased the risk of lien occurrences, increased accountability, assisted with communications, and continues to provide transparency to all those involved in the project.

“Careful planning and collaboration went into the implementation of this website,” said Tanner. “Collaboratively with LiensNC, LLC, NIC designed LiensNC.com with the highest quality of industry standards in mind.”
